The Sun Exclusive Videos

If you Google ' Julian Bray Aviation Expert' and select Videos that should take you to some of the video briefings and updates I have been contributing to The Sun Video Exclusive series.

These are quick reaction examinations of aviation incidents, crashes and other main news agenda topics.

They are released around the world simultaneously in the UK, USA and Australia.

Lately there has been a high number of incidents in the USA and many of my speculative comments have been picked up worldwide. The process is simply that when a major incident happens, the authorities quite rightly cannot speculate or otherwise comment as that might interfere with the core investigation, or set out mixed messages from the regulator. In the USA it's two main bodies the NTSB and the FAA.

The problem with this policy is for the victims relatives and wider families they are left in a limbo, unable to understand how and why the investigation process works. And no one will really talk through the probabilities. So using The Sun Newspapers vast resources. I can look behind the news, call up countless published videos and consult with others to provide an unbiased, unemotional initial reaction to events as they unfold, quite often taking a different investigative approach and sometimes highlighting factors that might not be immediately apparent to the official investigation.

In many cases we have correctly second guessed the investigation outcome and in one case focussed attention on a component that was not immediately apparent.

This related to a helicopter crash and I highlighted the 'Jesus Nut' simply if this malfunctioned the helio rotor would pack up.

The term originated during the Vietnam War, battle weary pilots would say that praying to Jesus was the only possible outcome, so the term stuck and has been in continual use ever since.

In addition to my videos and the written narrative on various websites we are also fortunate that we do get a good majority of helpful comments and observations. Indeed one Canadian viewer was able to help the investigation directly as he had data on a concrete slab or 'Berm' that simply should not have been sited where it was. It turned out to be a fatal hazard.
